I have copied, PA SAP4 and configured it. But I am getting an error while trying to activate the planning area. Error is as follows:
E - ERROR: There are all-roots planning levels which have non-root attributes
Could anyone please tell the root cause of this error?

If I have a IBP (6.1) for demand License, can I configure advanced statistical forecasting algorithms in an custom build Planning area or SAP2 Planning Area ? Or I need to use the SAP 6 Planning area to configure advanced statistical forecasting algorithms.

I am new to IBP 6.1. I came across a tile called "Assign Forecast Model". My question is, is it possible to re-assign planning levels after it has been assigned for first time? If yes, how?

In HCI, I am trying to configure a connection to a SQL database, its name is "DB_S&OP".
Here is my configuration :
When I test the connection, I receive an error message :
"Test failed for the default configuration 'default' of datastore: 'SQL_SOP': XML parser failed: See previously displayed error message."
I have tested this configuration for other database names on the same SQL server and it works fine.
The only difference is that this database contains the special character "&".
I have tried to use the escape character "\" in the database name : "DB_S\&OP" ; but it doesn't work either.
Can someone help me with this issue please ?

Hi guys,
I am working in a new project to use IBP 6.1 and I would like to know your opinion about when use "External" Key Figures.
Let me put you in context, we will plan to follow Demand and S&OP process, and we have some information of Key Figures from external systems, for example Sales Order.
Ours first approach was to configure this type of KF as simple KF and load the data manually or by import data functionality. But in the final deployment, the requirements will require real-time integration.
And in this case for the final solution, we should remove the original KF and create a new one as External, and we will lost few hours, right?.
What is your recommendation to use External Key Figures? In which situations?

This is regarding Keyfigure Caluculation. For some reason its not doing the calculation.
1. DEFICIT --->Its not calculating the shortages.
2.SUBPERIODSOFSUPPLY--->I dont see the impact of Subperiods of Supply.

Is anyone else having issues with IBP 5.0 access to the Process Modeling tile? Even with IBPADMIN user that is supposed to have all authorization (which I sort of question when I start digging into the various role definitions), when I click on the Process Modeling tile I get the message that I am not authorized. I do have the IBP_PRCESS and ACTVT 23 objects in one of my assigned profiles as well as the front end and back end roles for Administration Apps.
Meanwhile, I am able to get into all other tiles with no issue.
I have, of course, noticed issues between ability to use/access IBP (and seeing the tiles) with Chrome vs. IE Edge (Windows 10). Currently, IE Edge works for me but things are missing completely when I access via Chrome.

I've Created an input ready query on aggregation level of real-time info provider. But, when input ready query is opened in ANALYZER, I've following 2 issues. I made sure that Keyfigures are set to "Input-Ready" in query properties.
1. Unable to enter new lines (I had set "Allow entry of Plan Values")
2. Unable to save entered values. (SAVE/SEND function not appearing)
Appreciate any help.

I see some of the old data in past period. Which I cannot delete manually.

We would like to run a demo session to show the main features and the look and feel of the solution. We are addressing the S&OP module of IBP with S/4 HANA. Is there a demo environment where we could run an example of the S&OP process?

Hi IBP experts!
We are facing a case in IBP: we set up our forecasts to be handled by PRODUCT TYPE and MARKET, those are attached to PRODUCT and CUSTOMER respectively. But we are facing an error on IBP since we are changing MARKET for several CUSTOMERS.
So we have been told that, if we have changes on fields that we used to run our forecast we are going to have inconsistencies in IBP and there is no way to repair them so only by SAP ticket and erase this inconsistencies.
Do you have any other way to correct forecast information in IBP if we have a Master Data change for CUSTOMER or PRODUCT?

If I have 2 resources R1 and R2 belonging to a resource group RG, how can I model the capacity at the resource group level and at the resource level? The capacity at the resource group level should override the capacity at the resource level.

Hi folks,
Is there anyone having a full list of HCI-DS scripts functions available. We are investigating the HCI-DS scripts further than what we do and would like to develop these ones in order to call functions and may be even use Flat Files creation on the HCI server.
We easily handle calling Global variables, Time tags for Jobs run etc... but sure we can develop something more ingenious 
I am asking this as both HCI-DS help and SAP support docs are not listing full detailed functions available in terms of scripts.

I am using optimizer for supply planning.
Here is the scenario.Product A can be supplied Plant 1 ,2 or 3.Plant 1 is most profitable one.
Because the Transportation and production cost is less compared to other plants.
Even though I have maintained high cost on other plants and less cost Plant 1 still system is not sourcing plant 1.
Also one more query.In my Location sourcing do I need to maintain ratio ?
Anything suggestions.
